How is Freestone Jewelry made?
Each piece is crafted by hand.
The majority of the brass pieces are fabricated, cut, filed, shaped then polished by hand. Aside from a few pieces that I source from vintage deadstock.
All beaded designs are hand woven with needle and synthetic fiber thread to ensure a long life.
What is the jewelry made out of?
Freestone Handmade jewelry consists of many different materials.
In the spirit of honoring our earth, I do my best to source ethical and sustainable supplies.
The majority of the beads used are glass and recycled brass.
Minimal usage of stone, recycled gold gold-filled findings.
Some beads are vintage/antique.
How long will it take until my order is shipped?
Be sure to check the ready-to-ship section of the website! Otherwise, each piece is made to order. I ask for a 2-3 week production period prior to the ship date- depending on the piece.
What are my shipping options?
United states: I offer 3 different shipping options:
USPS First Class Mail: Arrives in 1 to 3 business days. it comes with a tracking number. it Does not include insurance.
USPS Priority Mail: Arrives in 1 to 3 business days. it comes with a tracking number and insurance to cover the complete amount of your order. Recommended option!
USPS Priority Mail Express: Overnight shipping. it comes with a tracking number and insurance to cover the complete amount of your order. Note; I live in a rural town where “Overnight shipping” is not always possible.
Freestone is not responsible for any packages once they have been marked “delivered” by USPs. SHould your item be wrongly delivered or stolen Please contact the united states postal service to open a claim. usps priority mail comes with full coverage insurance and is the recommended shipping option.
international shipping options:
international usps first class: delivery depends on location but usually arrives in 14-21 days. comes with a tracking number. does not include insurance.
internationl usps priority: delivery in 6-10 days. comes with a tracking number and includes $100 insurance.
international buyers are responsible for any custom duties and/or taxes upon arrival.
Returns/Exchanges:
Each piece is made to order specifically for you. Because of this all sales are final.
I want you to love your new piece. Circumstance depending, I will accept exchanges in equal value within 3 days of its arrival to you.
Best way to care for your jewelry:
Brass pieces will patina over time if this is not your desired look and you would like to restore it to its original shine. use a polishing cloth to gently rub the brass, Careful not to disturb the thread holding the beads. My favorite polishing cloth is a Sunshine cloth.
Beaded Pieces: Thread remembers. The best way to keep your beaded earrings in their original state is to lay them flat or hang them up. Keep them away from sharp objects and hot objects, do not leave them lying in the sun.
Water is the enemy, for all jewelry. remove all jewelry when swimming, showering, washing your hands (rings), sleeping, and exercising (sweat).
freestone jewelry is intended to be worn with care.
Lost an earring?
Should you lose an earring, I am always happy to replace it for you for half of its original price.

Please use the rubber backings supplied to you every time you wear your earrings.
Broken piece?
I understand that life happens! If you need to request a repair please email me at hello@freestonehandmade.com with a picture of your broken item. There could be a charge up to $20 depending on the breakage.
